There is still good out there I promise.
We see it far too much in today’s world. Horrific events happening around us all the time. When something like this happens, we post about it how sad we all are or what a world we are living in. We also post how horrible, sad and unsafe it all is. Yes, all of that is so true. We only see the bad things because whenever we hear about it, we have to share it on social media. We tend to tell everyone what we have to keep talking about until the next horrible thing happens. Because that is what we are used to these days. What if instead of looking at all of this bad stuff, we start looking at the good that is happening in our communities and around the world. We need to make people’s lives better. I think we are so focused on the bad stuff because we see it often, and we forget to look at all of the good that happens. We forget to find the positive side, despite it being all around us. We just have to look for it . Maybe you have to create some good to see it, but it will catch on and take time. Once it does, it will be something amazing that might change your life, or someone else’s life for the better.
I am not saying don’t see the bad stuff and talk about it. What I am saying is don’t be stuck in this negative mindset of the world. Don’t always think it is always horrible because you know what? We do live in a horrible world. Terrible awful things happen that we can not explain to our kids when they ask what going on. Why is this happening? Instead of dwelling on that, and how sad we are, instead of dwelling on how terrible things are in the world, let’s try to see the good in the world no matter what it may be. Whether it’s in your home or a stranger’s home, its worth celebrating and sharing that. It’s certainly worth spreading good. Whenever we are given the chance, do it because it deserves to be shared more than anything else that is negative. I try to look at things in my life in a positive mindset because that is the best way to live my life. I have to deal with negative things a lot. But I try to turn it in to an opportunity to learn and grow. It’s helpful to create and grow something beautiful from what I have learned from that negative experience whatever it may be.
I live that mindset because I am disabled. There are somethings I can not control such as being stuck in a house all of the time. I feel like I’m trapped in a prison cell because of my disability at times. So instead of being in a “woe is me” negative mindset and instead of thinking that life sucks, I choose to be as positive as I possibly can. Being in that negative mindset does not do me or those around me any favors. It certainly is not creating the change I want to see in the world, nor impactful in any way so there is no point in it. I think if more people took my approach to dealing with living in this cell and making lemonade out of the lemons that they have been dealt with, we would live in a society where we would see a more positive mindset in a lot more people than we do now. Negative things are bound to happen. It’s out of our hands. In life, bad things happen, but we are going to see it and hear about it whatever way we can. But my question to whoever is reading things is, how are you going to turn your lemons in to the sweetest lemonade you can, and make that negative mindset into a positive opportunity for you and those around you? Great things will start to happen to you and those you love if you start to do that. Trust me I know.
A person who takes a negative mindset and turns it into a great learning tool.
P.S. There is so much bad in the world, go out in to the world outside, look up from your phone, and see all of the good that is happening. Create some sweet lemonade out of those sour lemons because the world can use some of that right now.
