The Ocean

“The Ocean”

We sit by the Ocean

Toes in the Sand

And we talked about how it all began

You asked me to dance

And suddenly, we were hand in hand

When I looked in your eyes

I knew you’d be something special

But what I never realized is

Just how much we would need each other

In our lives

How much we would need each other

To build and grow

The time moves so fast

Where does the world go?

A second fades into an hour

A minute fades into the day

Life used to be all about play

But now we must work

With all of our might

To build up our fight

To keep shining our light

But for now, we can close our

Eyes and keep them on the prize

We swim in the ocean now

And splash around

It’s joy in motion

It is times like these

That I remember

That our love is rare

And haters better beware

I am always there

Never fading away

My feelings would not dare sway

I will forever feel this way

Your heart is etched and cemented

In my stone

And I will never have to feel alone
