Don’t Be Afraid to Step Up and Make a Change

Do you ever get those days where you feel stuck? It’s like you have your foot on the brake and you can’t seem to move forward. No matter how hard you try, you just can’t seem to “get with it.” It almost feels like your feet are in quicksand: Every time you try to pull yourself up, you keep on sinking.

Everyone gets stuck in their ways; we all fear change. Even if someone were to tell us: “The grass is greener on the other side,” we still wouldn’t budge. Because what if it isn’t? What if it’s worse? We have to admit, we are all a little afraid of failing.

But what ever happened to embracing the struggle? We need to realize that nothing ever comes easy. We need to start working for what it is we dream of and learn that struggling isn’t bad; Nothing really is bad, if it means we are working toward what makes us truly happy. Once we realize this, we’ll be on our way to living happier and more successful lives.

If you’re stuck in a job you do not enjoy, and every day you wake up and you just can’t seem to drag yourself out of bed: Step up and make a change. If you have always wanted to travel and see more of the world: Step up and make a change. Life is way too short to just “be comfortable.” Life is full of different avenues just waiting for us to explore.

As human beings, we cannot let society and what is socially accepted, scare us out of what we long to do. We cannot continue to make ourselves unhappy, out of fear that we will not make it. We need to stand up, dust ourselves off and spread our wings to fly to extraordinary heights. We are worth it; We can and we will succeed, if we learn to just try.
