Founder of Project Wednesday, HKP, had the opportunity to interview the Founder, Designer, and Owner of Schizophrenic.NYC, a clothing company created to raise awareness and change the way mentally ill homeless are viewed in NYC.
Michelle has an incredible story that she is still writing every single day. In the interview, she speaks on her own experiences being diagnosed with Schizophrenia and the challenges she has faced while trying to make a true difference through her clothing company. There is an existing stigma that lead people to believe schizophrenics and homeless people are on in the same. She reveals a secret about who really has schizophrenia, she describes her own experience of being diagnosed, she disputes the mindset that schizophrenics can switch their illness "off," and much more.

Schizophrenic.NYC uses designs based on Rorschach tests. A simple Google search explains that a Rorschach test is "a type of projective test used in psychoanalysis, in which a standard set of symmetrical ink blots of different shapes and colors is presented one by one to the subject, who is asked to describe what they suggest or resemble."
